Practical Home Remedy Book For The Whole Family?

I’m a missionary’s wife and have 2 small children. i’m looking for a book that has symptoms, diagnosis, and tried and true remedies and treatments. I am needing the most thourgh and practical book that has all these things as we can’t afford doctor’s visits unless it’s serious.

    “Prescription for nutritional Healing”. I refer to it as my Bible as I have healed from many, many symptoms and conditions with its invaluable advice. A new edition comes out every year or so.

    I have also used “Prescription for Nutritional
    Healing”, author, Dr. James F. Balch
    I’m sure Amazon.com has it or any
    larger book store like Barnes & Noble….
    2005 is the last edition I know of.
    Another wonderful book that informs about
    the pills that are good–the ones that are not–and the ones that will actually kill you.

    Another great book is:
    “The American Medical Association-
    Family Medical Guide
    Random House-Publishers
    (I have an older edition but Amazon or
    ebay may have a copy. Also, it is probably in the larger libraries.)
    It is a wonderful book because it gives
    symptoms and possible diseases and
    possible treatments. it gives very good
    diagrams.

    and living healthy magazine.
    They have an extensive library on every
    subject to building structures/gardening
    and canning/hunting and preserving/
    and many other subjects, either in books
    or on CDs.
    One of their great information sections is
    how to live in the bush and diagnose and
    treat almost every illness….using everyday
    healing methods, like herbs, roots, etc.

    when my kids were small the following books were recommended by a friend, they really proved boon, even now i use them
