Joan and Lydia Wilen - they did an infomercial with Carney Wilson
Some of their books are sold by Amazon - look at this page and review several of their books
"Bottom Lines Secret Food Cures and Doctor-Approved Folk Remedies by Joan and Lydia Wilenhttp://www.amazon.com/Bottom-Lines-Secre…
"
I read through this book today for a few hours while at my Aunt's House today and I have never been one for these ''home remedies'' etc. I found the book extremely well layed out, for one thing. You can look things up by either problem(insomnia, hair - loss, coloring, etc, arthritis, cold, headaches, etc) or by ingredient (flax oil, honey, lemon juice) which I found to be very helpful. I had a list of things I wanted to find out how to cure or rather, help ease the discomfort. I also had a few ingredients I wanted to look up to find out what they could be used for, so the double purpose of that was really helpful.
The book is also written by two sisters who have a sense of humor and who integrate it into parts of the recipes. There are medicine/remedie recipes for your body, but there are also a few really awesome homemade chicken soup, salsa, recipes. I was actually fascinated by how much information was in here and it wasn't boring at all to read! "http://search.barnesandnoble.com/More-Ch…http://icyball.com/catalog/articles.php?…
You can buy used copies of their books:http://www.alibris.com/booksearch?S=R&wa…
