What Causes Ulcers In Your Mouth? Are There Any Home Remedies?

Don’t you hate it when a big blob decides to appear in your mouth for days. These are some ways on how to remove or stop a mouth ulcer! You do these steps at your own risks.
1. Starting off, the worst one, but the one that works the best is an ice cube. If you have an ulcer on the inside of your lip you can put an ice cube on it until it sticks then pull the ice cube off. It will remove the ulcer. Be careful not to remove any other skin. This will hurt and will leave a slight amount of bleeding but, it works!
2. Rinse your mouth with salt water or diluted TCP (disinfectant). Salt kills germs, and a mouth ulcer is just a colony of germs. If you don’t like the taste of it, hold your nose while rinsing with it, but let go while gurgling. DO NOT DRINK IT
3. Buy something called Bonjela. This is medicine that numbs the pain for a while. It doesn’t remove it but it’s an ok medicine.
4. Some chewing gums can help ulcers while others can make them worse. Test them out and see which one works best for you.
5. Eat a balanced diet with plenty of vitamin C and protein. These will both repair skin and prevent ulcers.
6. Invest in a box of Oragel Mouth Sore disks. Dry the sore, then place a disk there until it sticks. The disk releases pain relievers and helps to protect the sore so it doesn’t get any worse.
7. If you get canker sores frequently, ask your doctor or dentist about a prescription medication called “Triamcinolone Acetonide Dental Paste USP, 0.1%” It speeds up healing process dramatically.
Good Luck

Mouth ulcers, aka canker sores, can be caused by cuts in the mouth that get infected and by stomach problems.
If you have stomach issues, see your doctor about them. Rinse twice a day with warm salty water. Brush at least twice a day and use mouth wash. You can also use Anbesol or the like to reduce the pain and help heal the sores.

I get them if I have too much acidity in my diet. I loooove tomatoes, and when they are in season, I’ll eat several a day. This is the only time of year that I’ll get one.

Canker sores are a cut in the gum lining that gets infected from the bacteria in your mouth. Toothpaste on the open wound helps and not tonging the sore.

I’ve heard that drinking too much orange juice can cause ulcers. Not sure how true that is… Also, if you’ve had a virus recently, that can cause them. My Mom once told me to rinse your mouth with warm salt water. It won’t cure whatever the underlying problem is but will make them feel better.

mouth ulcers are usually from lack of vitimans in the body especially iron. You can keep your mouth clean with warm water and salt but it wont make them go away

I believe mouth ulcers are caused by trauma ,stress ,acidic foods and probably some other things to .I usually rinse with warm salt water (teaspoon of salt glass of warm water rinse and spit )sounds gross and it wont heal the ulcer they usually stick around 7-14 days but it does help with soreness .You can also get some mouth wash from your dentist called perioguard that helps with mouth soreness but it is with prescription .
