Nausea Home-remedies?

Okay, I know this is stupid, but I’m writing my book, and one of my characters sort of walked in on a REALLY BLOODY crime-scene (no he’s not a cop or anything) and spent some time throwing up… So my main character gets him home and goes to his kitchen… and does what? What’s something that helps ease stomach-problems or whatever? My main character is very old, so she knows all sorts of remedies, problem is, I don’t know any… So the guy who threw up is scrubbing his teeth and tongue with a toothbrush… *sigh* google said ginger tea, but I do NOT think that this guy would have anything tea-like in his house…

sounds like exciting stuff that you’re writing!!
peppermint tea is great to calm down an unhappy tummy, it’s what i use when i’m feeling dodgy. and when i looked it up on google to make sure i was telling you the right thing (don’t want to be giving wrong advice if you’re writing a novel!) i found this page with a couple of other remedies on it too if you’d like to take a look at it: http://www.mothernature.com/Library/Book… and also http://www.myhomeremedies.com/topic.cgi?…
and also camomile tea is used to calm people down when they’re stressed, it’s not exactly for nausea but more for the calming feeling it brings.
good luck with your writing :) xx
