Canker Sore Remedies?

My boyfriend gets canker sores(also known as mouth ulcers) frequently, so I am looking for some good brands of toothpaste that do not contain sodium lauryl sulfate(it irritates canker sores). I hoping to help him improve his diet. Does any one have any home remedies for canker sores?

    Colgate makes a gel called Orabase that is great for canker sores. You apply it directly to the sore and it numbs the area.
