There's cool stuff out on the market that seals your sore while it heals it and it numbs it a little too if you're having trouble eating with it. Heals you up fast! Look in the dental aisle where you find things like oragel.

Brush your teeth so that the sore doesn't become more infected, and then gargle with hydrogen peroxide for at least a minute. Do this twice a day after brushing your teeth and it will start to heal within a couple of days. This has ALWAYS worked for me. Salt water burns too much so this is a great alternative. You can also go to the store and get some Oragel (the kind you use for teething babies) and apply it directly to the sore for instant relief.
Best of luck to you! I feel your pain!
