Get some Senna from a healthfood shop or herbarium… you can get senna tea but the dried herb is better. Make a simple infusion with hot water and the dreid leaves for 5-6 mins, strain and drink like a normal tea.
Don’t pour boiling water right on to it as it will scold the leaves. pop some cold in first then add boiling water.
Aslo figs are about to come into season (uk) they are great for the bowels along with prunes!

The best and safest thing that I have found for constipation is a remedy which my sister recommended.
Do not be tempted to take senna or fybogel until you have tried this. I am a pharmacy technician and proper guidance should be sought when taking laxatives. They all work in different ways and have implications. For further information you could visit my website and learn a bit more.www.herbal-from-home.com/informatio…
    Here is the remedy.
Put an inch square of orange rind (including the pith) into a large mug of very hot water and leave to cool (until it is ok to drink, but as hot as you can stand). Results should be within a few hours.

If you use psyllium it works. one tablespoon in water or juice twice a day. It is said to help heart health as well. Focus on fruits and vegetables in your diet as well.
