Any Home Remedies To Lighten Dark Skin?

My face is really tan and i just feel really uncomfortable about it… and please don’t say that it doesn’t matter about skin color. I know it doesn’t, but I still really would like to make it at least a little lighter. I use sunscreen sometimes…. but are there any natural home remedies that will clear up my pimples and lighten my skin tone WITHOUT messing up my skin? PLEASE HELP! oh and i wash my face often too… i just use plain soap though.

You need to try different products to figure out how to reach the balance of moisture in your skin. For me, this holds many of the keys to beautiful skin.
For the darkness of your face, I would recommend using an exfoliating face scrub, as someone else suggested. You need to be gentle or you will irritate your skin AND spread bacteria, causing a break out of pimples. I use St. Ive’s Apricot scrub because of the natural exfoliating properties of apricots. It costs about $5 for a huge tub that will last you quite a while. It’s also good for exfoliating your body where you are prone to get ingrown hairs from shaving. Exfoliation removes dead skin cells on the surface of your skin which may have the effect of lightening while removing skin cells that hold dirt and oil. It is also great for evening the skin tone when you have dark spots left from pimples. Exfoliation should only be done once a week because essentially, it wears down your skin over time, making it thin and more prone to wrinkles in the long term.
For everyday, I highly recommend going with the antibacterial route for acne care rather than the salicylic acid route. Most commercial acne washes and gels use salicylic acid which is supposed to dry up excess oil, but for most people it causes over-drying. When your skin is dry, your body creates MORE oil to replace it and you break out. This is exactly why you also break out after sun exposure. I use Noxema Triple Clean once in the morning and once in the evening. I also use a prescription topical treatment called Clindamycin Phosphate, an antibacterial treatment I put on before bed each night.
My number 1 rules (who says there can’t be two number 1’s?) for skin care are to moisturize and eat right. In the cold months I use a non-clogging moisturizer like Cetafil and in the warmer months I use Cetafil with SPF. Moisturizing prevents wrinkling in the long term, as does an SPF. Moisture is also essential in the aforementioned problem of over-drying and the resulting over-productive oil glands. The other number 1, eating right, will never do you wrong. For instance, lycopene from tomatoes is highly beneficial in fighting sun damage and in the long term, wrinkles.

to light your skin try exfoliation with a scrub, one with larger crystals for the body and smaller beads for the face, make sure the one for the face is oil-free or says wont clog pores. Best advice to clear up acne is to go to the dermatologist and have them prescribe you something , it worked wonders me. By the way get a cleanser instead of soap, soap leaves a waxy residue that will make you breakout even more

pimples? ha! those are simple. put honey on a band-aid and leave it on your stupid pimple over night. it will most likely be gone in the morning. and be sure to tell your pimple how much you hate it. ohhhhkay… im not too sure about lightening skin color, you should use sunscreen more often, and buy a cream colored blush to dust on the top part (the hairy part) of your arms. that should help. you could even use eyeshadow!

There is no safe recognised way to trully lighten your skin.
Stay out of the sun, if you must go into the sun wear a hat that covers all your face – wear sunscreen and do not go out in the sun between 9.30 and 4pm
