your body naturally produces melatonin, an enzyme that relaxes your body and helps you fall asleep. there are 1mg melatonin tabs that you can find in health food stores but you should never take it more than twice in a row or your body will stop producing it.
i personally like a nice cup of warm milk with honey or chamomile tea just before bed. reading, watching tv, and even being on the comp while in bed is a big no-no. your bed becomes a place of stimulation in stead of relaxation and your brain will have a harder time winding down for the night

Some easy steps to ensure a sound sleep are as follows:
    · Eat a healthy and well-balanced meal. Eat a light meal at dinnertime.
    · Exercise regularly.
    · Cut down on your caffeine and alcohol intake.
You can also introduce certain factors in your everyday life like going to bed at a fixed time every night, use no or muted lights in the bedroom etc. You can club them with the use of binaural beats for maximum results. Sleep is a natural rejuvenation process of the body and mind. Sound sleep at night ensures that your body and mind have been naturally refreshed and the next day you are ready to face the daily grind.

Melatonin would be ideal. the brain naturally produces it when you’re on a sleeping schedule but can be messed up. take some every day at the time you want to go to sleep at and eventually you should be getting tired everyday at that same time without the pills. Check out Wikipedia.com on the matter they are the experts.

Close your eyes and slowly starting from your toes relax every part of your body – relax each toe, your foot, your ankle, your knee, right up to the top of your head.
    Good luck mate.

Yes, your body may not produce adequate levels of melatonin and this is a supplement that you can purchase from the grocery or drugstore. It works well for most people and helps your body associate that it should be bedtime. Taking it for a week or so can help you fall asleep around the same time every night and then once you have formed a regimen of going to bed and waking up at the same time every day, you’ll start to stick to that habit. Also, avoid caffeine and exercise during the evening. White noise helps me a lot. I keep a fan running constantly and when I lay in bed I just focus on the noise and don’t think about how I’m losing time trying to fall asleep. And if you can’t fall asleep just laying in bed get up and get out because you’ve already begun to stress and you need to do something that will keep you occupied somewhere else. If you are any religious maybe praying or reading the Bible will help. Many people believe in warm baths and meditation and deep breathing exercises. I have horrible insomnia and when I can’t sleep I try to just plan on staying up all night and not think about sleep anymore and then eventually I will sleep even if it does take me till like 4am. But then make sure you get yourself up at the time you planned to wake up anyway because losing a few hours of sleep and being tired the next day won’t kill you. And then you’ll be tired enough to hopefully fall asleep at a reasonable time the next day or even earlier than planned, which can help you wake up early the following day. I swear by using melatonin because it’s naturally produced in our bodies and works terrific for me at least. Hope you maintain a healthy bedtime cycle. Make sure it’s cool and dark and quiet (aside from white noise) and don’t look at the clock. Best!
Ag Silv—melatonin is not an enzyme it is a hormone. Most but not all enzymes end in “ase” And absolutely no, your body will NOT stop producing it if you take it two times in a row. Do you have any idea what you’re talking about? I recommend you consult a physician if you wish to know the facts.
