In India we use turmeric powder. Just apply a pinch to the ulcer twice daily. You are not supposed to ingest anything for the next hour.

When we get them we do Listerine about 3 times a day... To stop with the pain try using Abensol. The Listerine will pretty much kill it though. If you are really impatient though boil a needle and pop it (I don't recommend that though)

OK, this is probably the only decent and relistic answer you'll get. And you'll hate the idea, but i swear it works. Rinse the area with salt water, one teaspoon in a fairly small glass of warm water. Twice per day. Hold the water in your mouth ove the ulcer too, and finish the glass. DO NOT SWALLOW THE WATER!!!
The salt works by making the environment in your mouth too salty for the bacteria that make the ulcer inflammed and sore.
Gargling with it is good if you get strep throat or general sore throat too...just for future reference.
I can't promise it won't hurt but it'll sure make it heal faster.
It's what we recommend patients to do at the dental practice.
