Maybe you could call the manufacturer of the lice stuff and see what they say. They could probably tell you what you need to know, there’s probably a number on the bottle. Good luck, I hope you guys get better.

Do not treat scabies with home remedies. These can make the condition worse. Do not use steroids or other creams unless prescribed by a doctor.
Nonprescription permethrin 1% is used to treat lice but is not strong enough to cure scabies. Prescription permethrin (Elimite) cream or lotion is the most commonly used medication to treat scabies. Unlike the more toxic lindane, permethrin is considered safe for infants as young as 2 months old.
No matter the cost, you are going to have to see a doctor.
GermanGirlie: I don’t know what you are thinking, you CANNOT leave lice treatment on a 1 and a 1/2 year old for 8 hours, that was possibly the dumbest thing I’ve ever read.

Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the mite Sarcoptes scabiei. Scabies causes intensely pruritic lesions with erythematous papules and burrows in web spaces, wrists, waistline, and genitals. Diagnosis is based on examination and scrapings. Treatment is with topical scabicides or rarely oral ivermectin.(Merck)
Treatments basically fall into a few different categories: Systemic oral doses which have the advantage of ensured total coverage, prescription topical applications, and over-the-counter topical applications such as 10% sulfur. Topical (surface) medications are often effective and must be applied thoroughly to all skin from the neck down, especially to areas known to be primarily affected (skin folds, hands, etc.). The topical medication of choice is 5% permethrin because it is safe for all age groups: it should be applied for eight to twelve hours (overnight is the most convenient) then washed off. A second treatment of permethrin a week later may be recommended. Multiple applications of the cream is usually required to completely rid the body of the bugs. (Wikipedia)

A home remedy can make it worse but when I had scabies I didn’t know how much worse it could get. I would try it since it is non-toxic (be sure to read the label first)
Was ALL clothes and bedding in HOT water and avoid contact with others because it is very contagious.
I needed a prescription with 5% permethrin and when that didn’t work I used lindane. Be careful because they can return if you do not treat it right or even clean correctly.

Listen Hun, don’t waste your breath on idiots they aren’t worth your energy.
Use NIX lice treatment from the neck down, leave on for 8 hrs. Then take a hot shower. Repeat in 1 week. Wash all linens & laundry in hot water & follow with a hot dryer for at least 50 minutes. R & C spray for non-washable linens & items, mattresses, stuffed animals, etc. Good-Luck hope it all turns out ok.
