I know someone that has the same problem. He's a guy, but this happened when he was a little kid, so it wasn't that he was balding because of old age or anything. He saw a doctor, and they recognized it as a somewhat common problem, that can be treated with medicine. Maybe it's the same thing for you, so see a doctor.

Sometimes hair loss can be the underlying cause of illnesses and deficiencies. For instance, vitamin deficiencies, lupus, hormonal changes, etc... I am an ethnic woman who had gorgeous hair. One day I looked in the mirror and saw a coin sized bald spot. I freaked!! Later, I learned that my alopecia was linked to a kidney problem. My suggestion to you is: before finding cures to grow your hair back, find out why it's falling out--see a doctor.
Good Luck!!

Hello, I'm a hairdresser and I've been in the business for 18 years now. there could actually be a few thing going on. if you have a relaxer or some sort of chemical in the hair, the hair could just be over processed. I would recommend a product called Aphoghee. it's a treatment for permed or colored hair that is damaged or breaking. this is a six week treatment. you can do it yourself or recommend it to your stylist for use. while using this product they also have a moisture balance that keeps the hair from becoming to tight from the protein in the product. I do recommend you use this as well. One last thing is a good conditioner. I recommend porosity control conditioner. all these products could be found at your local Sallys Beauty Supply or other beauty supply in your area. Because you had some sort of surgery, the meds you may have been taking does affect the hair. and if your still taking the meds, your hair will not return to it's normal state until that chemical has left the body. I do have clients that deal with this also and because of the treatments they no longer have the breakage, but still deals with thinning because of the meds. You may also need to take some sort of vitamin to help with the hair loss. Vitamin E is good for the hair. If none else, visit your local dermatologist. they do recommend products to clients with these issues also.Hope this helps.
