Some people claim that a dab of fingernail polish on the
itchy spot will kill the chigger and make it quit itching.,
I never had it work….. Although it’s not real cheap
I found that “orajell” toothache medicene worked better.
It has novacaine in it and numbs the area for a while.
If you can find it. “Americaine” works better but very few
drug stores carry it. It will be in the hemmeroid medicine shelf.
other than that you’ll just have to wait 3 days.

Try using oilment with menthol based. If the itch doesn’t stop, better seek professional help as it may be due to an infection.

“witch hazel” stops itching…it works wonders for mosquito bites.

I heard…clear finger nail polish on the bites…they really suck. did you know Florida sprays their beaches with poison almost daily so the tourists won’t be bugged off ?

I have heard clear fingernail polish. It’s not anything in the polish, it just completely seals off the air from the bite which somehow makes it itch.

Try a paste made of baking soda and just a bit of water. Also put some oatmeal in an old kneehigh stocking or cut off pantyhose, tie it off and put it in a tub of luke warm water when you bath. Hope this helps…

I grew up in the country and had chiggers all.the.time. in the summer. I always put nail polish on each one of them and it worked fast to kill every one of them.
