Best Home Remedies To Prevent Peeling From Sunburn?

MAYONNAISE!!! Seems odd, but works well. The vinegar seems to stop the burn from getting worse, and the oil in it help moisturize it! best time to put it on is before bed. YES you’ll need to change the sheets, but it’s worth it!!

If the skin is burned, it’s gonna peel. (I’m a redhead….so I know! LOL!) Anyways, the absolute best thing is vinigar. It takes the burn out right away and your skin will still be red but it won’t hurt. It’s hot when it takes the burn out, but it only lasts a minute or so. I put it in a spray bottle and spray it on. And I use a cotton swab for my face. And then apply lots of lotion for days. But, if the damage is done, you won’t completely stop the peeling.

not really much you can do to prevent peeling from a sunburn. once the damage is done, it’s done. the best thing for it would be to put aloe vera on it. my mom used to have an actual plant and it works much better than the stuff you can buy in stores.

You can’t prevent peeling. If you burn yourself that badly, it just has to happen.
The best prevention is a good sunscreen – to prevent the next burn.
To alleviate the itching and pain, you can try using an aloe plant and spread the gel from inside it on your skin, or using solacain (a cream available in US and Canada).

I don’t know about home remedies. but aloe vera is great for healing just about anything, especially burns. In my opinion, it’s actually the BEST thing you can use that will really help.
