Please don't try to medicate yourself with herbs and supplements. Bi-polar disorder is a chemical imbalance; it's not situational depression that can be fixed by taking an herbal supplement.
You need to see a doctor, who can prescribe you something (an anti-depressant or a mood stabilizer), and then will refer you to a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist will worth with you to ensure that the medication you're on is right for you. It's not always possible to find the best medication right off the bat; you may need to try 2 or 3, or more than one in conjunction with another medication, before you find one that works.
It's also important that you seek therapy to talk about these things. Once the depression loosens its hold on you, you'll be able to deal with these issues rationally, instead of emotionally, once you get a better handle on how you feel.
The right medication(s) can make a huge difference. I've been bi-polar for 25 years, and only treated with any regularity over the last two. You wouldn't believe how much has changed in my outlook.
Depression can be your worst enemy...the chemical imbalance brings you down, which makes you depressed, which makes you believe the worst things about yourself and makes you feel bad, which makes you MORE depressed...so on and so forth. You really do need to seek medical attention and therapy. Bi-polar disorder isn't something that will fix iteself or go away on its own. Don't be afraid to seek help.
(Re: the absence of mania...while he isn't describing any manic episodes, you can tell by what/how he posted that there are some racing thoughts going on...inability to focus and write something cohesive can be indicative of mania, even if he isn't actually experiencing it in the traditional way.)

If you have a diagnosis of Bi polar disorder then you also have periods of extreme happiness (mania) as well, but it sounds like you don't. I think perhaps you actually have major depressive disorder in which case you should be on ssri's (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) I do not always recommend meds but cases such as schizophrenia or severe depression are the exception. You are in a tumultuous time in your life which doesn't make things better. Perhaps you should see a psychologist and receive some cognitive behavioral therapy which would help you change the negative self dialogue you have. You need to focus on yourself before you worry about the girls. Once you feel better and are more confident, others will see that and you will appear more "attractive" . Hang in there, get some help with your situation, and remember life is not bad, there is always a solution to every problem.
Keep your chin up and good luck!
